DYK? About 18 billion pounds of plastic waste flows into the oceans every year! And only nine percent of all plastic ever made has ever been recycled -the 2019 fact of the year! And last but not least, the ocean is expected to contain more plastics than fish by 2050!

Some plastics are good and some plastics are bad! The bad plastics are the single use plastics – like straws, plastics bags, coffee cups and lids, and disposable cutlery. We can all make a difference to reduce single use and eliminate plastic waste. I am asking the City of Port Moody to do all that they can to help reduce single use in our city!
