Fabian Pavon started this petition to City of Pomona

On Sunday, September 29, a light pole at Tony Cerda Park fell-nearly missing a group of kids playing soccer at the park. Since then, the city has removed two other light poles at the park. This issue is concerning as the safety of our children is at stake.

The park also lacks basic park amenities. The park does not have picnic tables, water fountains, or restroom stalls. These basic amenities are essential in supporting positive community activity and park recreation.

There is a long history that shows that the community has had to step up and make sure that the park is safe and that the kids have positive recreational activities as an alternative to drugs and gangs. It is now time that the city of Pomona takes up the responsibility of making Tony Cerda Park a priority when it comes to maintenence and providing basic park amenities.

Please sign this petition in favor of having the City of Pomona prioritize the improvement of Tony Cerda Park by adding restroom stalls, picnic tables, water fountains, and increasing overall attention and investment in the park.
