On Monday April 12th 2021, a beloved family of 5 became the victims of a drunk driver. The fatal crash killed the father Ramiro Castro and 7 year old daughter Sela Mataele. The mother, Corrina Rosalez and her two young boys were hospitalized and in critical condition. The child passenger in the drunk drivers car also was hospitalized.

The drunk driver was going about 85 mph in a 35 mph zone. Alcohol, high speed and lack of traffic control ultimately killed two innocent people. 

Corrina Rosalez lost her beloved life partner and her first born child. While her body struggles to heal itself, her heart will remain broken. Sela’s brothers are fighting for their health too. They’ll never understand how or why they lost their big sister, mommy’s little helper. 

The City of Pittsburg needs better traffic control on West Leland rd. People treat this road like a freeway; it’s not a freeway. Children and parents were KILLED and severely injured DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM A PLAYGROUND.
