It's been a year since we started this petition to install a disc golf course at Steele Indian School. Unfortunately, we have with withdrawn our proposal for the course at Steele due to conflicts with The Central Park Development on the southwest portion of the park. The development is going to be great for the park and neighborhood and we didn't want to interfere with that.

With that said, we have submitted a new proposal to convert the city-owned ball golf course at Palo Verde into a disc golf course. We believe this is an even better option for the course and for the City.  Parks has been a little hesitant to give up one of the ball golf courses despite the glaring issues of social inequality, huge financial losses, and environmentally unsustainable. 

The first step in getting a new disc golf course is getting the City to see that converting the ball golf course makes sense. Please check out the short video to get an idea of the issues with the City's ball golf courses.
