Thanks to everyone who has signed this petition!

I’ve received a lot of positive feedback. Many people were unaware that Ryerson was the architect of the residential school system.

We are not trying to “erase history” here. We just want Owen Sound to stop celebrating and honouring this historical figure.

It seems, based on news reports, that the city is listening and will discuss a potential renaming. 

I’d love to present the city with a 1,000+ name petition so please share this to help achieve that goal.
