Dear mayor of the city of Milan, AC Milan, Inter Milan,

please, DO NOT demolish the San Siro stadium

The entire football world sees the San Siro Stadium as a symbol, not only of the city of Milan, or of the two Milan clubs, but of football in general. It is certainly in the hearts of most football fans, not only because of its history, but also because of its architecture. Demolishing it to build a new stadium would hurt many people's feelings, especially who haven't had the chance to visit it yet.
Take the city of Munich for example, when the two Munich clubs decided to build a new stadium, they did not want to demolish the Olympic Stadium, because they knew it is a part of the city. The citizens were asked to vote on the location of the new stadium and they built it there. The Olympic Stadium is being used for concerts and various other events to this day and people still enjoy it! Why can we not do the same in Milan? The stadium has such great history, it has seen so many extraodinary players and matches. It would be a pity to destroy all of these memories.
