As violence has continued to worsen over recent months I am ramping back up this petition. Last night in my own neighborhood a 16 year old was shot and killed. I don’t know the circumstances around the event, but I do know that his family does not deserve the pain they are experiencing. We used to only occasionally hear gun fire but now it is almost nightly and it almost never gets news coverage so the city has done nothing to improve the safety of its citizens. 

I know that signing a petition alone will not decrease our crime rate, but we can use these signatures to show our representatives and those with power that we as citizens are demanding change! Thank you for signing to help keep our families safe!
