The City currently has individuals who are requesting a waiver from Section 146-136 to reduce the percentage of quality trees that must be preserved in the 100 year fully developed floodplain located on the East side of Lakeforest North of McKinney Boyd Highschool to a percentage less than the current requirement that 70% of such trees be preserved. The current protocol is that 30% of quality trees may be removed, however, the individuals requesting a waiver are requesting that 75% of quality trees be removed from that area. This is including the Pecan Grove on the East side of Lakeforest.
