Christopher Reynolds started this petition to City of Marquette

On February 6th, 2021, John "Jack" Reynolds passed away at the age of 75. In recognition of his 55 years of coaching Marquette youth and adults in both baseball and softball, we are asking the City of Marquette to rename the North Marquette Baseball Complex to the John "Jack" Reynolds Baseball Complex. Besides being a volunteer coach, Jack has also given many hours as a laborer to care for and maintain the fields of this complex. Jack facilitated the additions of a concession stand, brick dugouts, bleacher covers, scoreboards, and safer playing surfaces. During the many years Jack coached, he coached Babe Ruth League, Tee Ball, Little League, Sr. Little League, American Legion Baseball, Adult baseball and Adult Fast Pitch Softball. The only season Jack received any compensation for coaching was in 2004 as Interim Head Coach of the South Dakota State University Jack Rabbits. Jack's heart was always in Marquette and he was one of the most dedicated individuals in our community. He never cared how talented a player was, just that they enjoyed the game and learned whatever they could from him.
