We the neighbors of 14915 Shannon Road object to the proposed rezoning of APN 537-27-047 from RC to HR-1, and the subdivision into 10 lots.

• Not consistent with surrounding housing (5 acre lot sizes for much of the surrounding housing)
• 8 new driveways onto Shannon Road will create a substantial traffic hazard
• Will bring intensive construction and earth moving activity substantially changing the character of the surrounding area
• Will destroy views and open space
• Increased housing noise levels
• Will reduce neighborhood property values
• Increased fire hazard due to limited egress routes in the event of an emergency

Furthermore, Shannon Road is an already a hazardous street with a mix of bicycle and vehicle traffic sharing a narrow road with no shoulders. Increased traffic resulting from this development will worsen the existing hazard.

We request that this General Plan amendment be denied .
