I am writing with some exciting news. My online petition to recognize my father Harry Geris’ achievements has been signed by more than 1100 supporters! As a result of this outpouring of support, and to recognize my father’s accomplishments, the City of London and local developer Dave Tennant Jr. have committed to naming a future park in his honour. The future ‘Harry Geris Park’ is in planning stages, and was announced at City Council on July 29. A further on-site announcement is planned for Wednesday, August 6 at 10:30am.   I would like to thank London Mayor Joni Baechler, Ward 7 Councillor Matt Brown, London City Council and Dave Tennant Jr. for making this happen. I would also like to thank each of you. Your encouragement and kind words have been truly humbling, and I can’t thank you enough for your outpouring of support.
