Renaming the bridge would be a well deserved dedication to the late Mayor of Lancaster, Arnie Rodio. During his service on the city council, he assisted with the planning of the bridge. It is a peripheral loop to pass over the railroad tracks which would allow emergency vehicles to proceed through. Arnie was the head of the cities Redevelopment Agency. He was well known and very active through out the community. He served in the U.S. Navy and was passionate about making a difference in his country. Arnie became a plumber and owned a supply store in Lancaster. He then went on to served two terms as Mayor of Lancaster. Arnie had a great reputation and had made many positive memories with members of our community!
