We’re excited to create an open concept public multi-use space that promotes new opportunities for showcasing local businesses and fostering collaborations with our non-profit organizations to serve residents and visitors of La Crosse. The building plans include adding full ADA compliant bathrooms and building accessibility for all.  Some uses we see for the space include:

The second floor will be fully restored to its original historical use of lodging. This upper level space has many limitations due to historical restrictions and ADA compliance; therefore, can currently only occupy government offices. We are proposing to offer a single unit European style Bed & Breakfast that focuses on the art of hospitality.

Quick Facts

The City of La Crosse owns the building and will only act as “landlord” of the property. 

All Hatchery LLC rent paid will remain inside the Riverside Park budget line to fund other projects and maintenance within Riverside Park. 

Hatchery Riverside build out project is a privately managed and funded project.   

All events and public space to coincide within park hours and follow city of La Crosse patio ordinances (to be shut down no later than 10pm)
