Law Enforcement Officers across the nation are facing the toughest challenges in our lifetime.  The career requires average men and women to make extraordinary sacrifices and contributions to the communities they serve.  The current social climate multiplies the difficulty and stress of the job.  Law Enforcement Officers deserve our respect and support.  This petition is to the members of the Kansas City Missouri City Council requesting a City Resolution that acknowledges the contributions and sacrifices made by Law Enforcement in Kansas City and ensuring the Citizens of Kansas City that Officers have the support of City Officials.  The resolution would also enable professional, civic and grassroots organizations to paint street murals in seven (7) locations throughout the city in support of Law Enforcement.  A request for the Resolution and murals was submitted to the City Council and this petition is to support the request.  At least one other entity has been granted permission for street murals, we simply desire the same rights which are afforded to us under the law.
