Over 4 000 signatures were received to get the City of Johannesburg to put a hold on The Transit Orient Development /The Taxi Rank Upgrade in Lenasia. We ask that people who have not signed the petition to sign it as continuing the support for this petition will be a stronger stance by Residents of Lenasia.
The petition has been presented to the City of Johannesburg as well as the Office of the Executive Mayor, yet movement on the project has been continuing.
The petition, started by Lenasia Residents Association (LRA), was aimed at drawing attention to the irregular spending or allocations of public funds on a private sector as well as other matters surrounding this project, which is hampering the lives of the Lenasia Community

With a reluctance to communicate back to us by the Office of the Executive Mayor the LRA has been asked to move with legal action against the City. The process is ongoing, funds to further this course will be needed, if you are able and willing to assist, the account details below can be used:
