Hi everyone! My name is Sydnee Brown and I am a Junior at McNeese State University. My major is elementary education and for one of my courses we were challenged to take action about an issue in the world that we are passionate about. I love animals so this choice was easy for me! I have 5 dogs and 1 cat. 
Many animal shelters do not have a “no kill” law meaning that they are often forced to euthanize animals based on the length of their stay at the shelter. For the past recent years the Jennings Animal Shelter has not followed this and they have put in their best efforts to find safe homes for these animals! I would like to make a positive change in our area by starting this petition to enforce for our shelter to host an annual adoption day for the animals in the shelter! With signatures we can raise awareness for our shelter and gain more support to continue doing great things! I am positive with the help of our close knit community that we could gather more than enough signatures and volunteers to make this possible. Thank you so much for your help!
