Stop additional homes from being built in Stoney Mountain Ranch

The Issue

The community of Stoney Mountain ranch is a small neighborhood located in a protected mountain cove with many protected natural preserves in the west end of Hemet. The original builder who left the project vacant for years has decided they now want to continue the build out. The building of additional homes in this community will cause increased traffic, increased noise, increased flooding issues and more damage to the wildlife preserves. The builder should not be allowed to build the project out until we have assurance that these 3 items will be addressed:

1)An environmental study is done to prove that the endangered species have not migrated int he last 10 years and that the new homes will not have an impact on the endangered species that live in the community

2) Expansion of Esplanade Ave from 2 lanes to 4 lanes to allow for the addition of turn lanes into the community as previously proposed in 2005

3) Drainage issues resolved. Currently we have major drainage issues in and outside of the community. Any additional homes built ABOVE the community are going to lead to additional flooding of the homes below it and result to worsening flood issues and should not be allowed.
