Central California S.P.C.A. (CCSPCA) is a 501(c) 3 charity with a specified mission to “provide protection, placement, and education to ensure responsible animal care.” As of 2020, the organization reported annual revenue of more than 6.5 million dollars with assets of more than 12 million dollars. The executive director is compensated at over $130,000 a year, and the shelter manager receives more than $110,000 a year.  Despite this mission and budget, this “shelter” has become little more than a center for animal cruelty and extermination.

By their own records, in 2019/2020 CCSPCA took in 16,892 dogs and cats with only 8,983 live outcomes. That means 47 percent, over 7,900 cats and dogs, went in and never came out.  That’s not a shelter, that’s not animal protection, and it is not responsible animal care.

Take action to:

1.    Immediately close CCSPCA

2.    Request the IRS revoke CCSPCA’s charitable status as a 501(c) 3

3.    Request the Fresno County Sheriff initiate an investigation into animal cruelty at CCSPCA
