Hello, neighbors! 

As many of you know, there is a problem in our neighborhood of speeding and reckless driving down Weatherwood Road along the Candleridge Park Greenbelt, I have had to remove countless animals, cats, dogs, ducks, opossums, squirrels etc. struck by vehicles, most recently a beautiful Mallard duck this morning, my neighbor's brick mailbox has been hit, sending debris across my yard and property, costing him money to replace, standing in the street to check my mail is dangerous with how fast cars choose to navigate this winding street. It is a problem especially with the amount of people who use this trail for family recreation.

 I want to petition for the installation of several speed bumps and animal crossing signs along Weatherwood Road for the safety of the animals who live in this nature park, the people and children who run and play in the area, and for us, the residents on Weatherwood road who have to clean up after the reckless drivers, and suffer the damages.

The city requires a petition signed by a certain number of residents before they will consider installing the speed bumps, which is the purpose of me opening this petition, please only sign if you reside in this area, or if you utilize this park. I ask that you take all of these issues in to consideration and choose to sign the petition to save lives.
