A bright digital billboard was installed adjacent to the Ritchie neighbourhood in the summer of 2014 and it has been shining day and night into my home and other homes in the area. The billboard is near a school, which can be dangerous as it may distract drivers who are passing it!

This billboard clearly violates the Edmonton Zoning Bylaw 12800, which clearly states that “Major Digital Signs, Minor Digital On-premises Signs, Minor Digital Off-premises Signs, and Minor Digital On-premises Off-premises Signs shall be located or constructed such that Sign illumination shall not project onto any surrounding residential premises, shall not face an abutting or adjacent Residential Use Class, shall not face an abutting or adjacent Residential-Related Use Class, and shall not face the Extended Medical Treatment Services Use Class to the satisfaction of the Development Officer”,

Help me stop the renewal of their permit (which currently extends to Nov 2017) and perhaps we can even have it taken down early!
