Cameron Haas started this petition to City of Dania beach

For years the skate park at Frost Park has been sitting left to rot with absolutely no maintenance to at least fix the giant cracks in the ground making it dangerous to skateboard there. From the beginning, frost park was always subpar. It looks like they hired an artist to design it who has little to no experience with skateboarding. Whenever I go there it is rare to find at least one other person skateboarding at the park, and for good reason. One of the obstacles is completely unusable almost year round because it collects rain water and forms a tiny bird bath. The rest are of the obstacles are just as much of a joke if not more, like the pathetic excuses for quarter pipes which in reality are just concrete road barricades with a little extra concrete to smooth out one side. The ledge for grinds and slides doesn’t slide unless you put an entire yankee candles worth of wax on it. The rails have cracks in the uneven concrete making them difficult to approach on a skateboard. There used to be a wooden skate bowl that was donated there and it resided in the northeast corner of the skatepark. They soon took it down, leaving dips and cracks in the concrete where the bowl once was. Therefore I propose we petition to get the City of Dania Beach to fund a complete and total redesign and construction of a state-of-the-art concrete  skatepark comprised of ramps, gaps, ledges, hubbas, kinked rails, down rails, square rails, round rails, and much more.
