The city where I live (Chesapeake, VA) doesn’t consider farm animals as pets in residential housing. The exceptions to this rule are chickens (6) and a Vietnamese Pot-bellied/Juliana Pigs. I currently own 3 ducks and am being forced by my city to rehome them. I want the rules to be changed in order for farm animals no bigger than a Vietnamese Pot-bellied pig to be considered pets in residential housing (as long as you have the space for them).
