The Warner Park Pool and Spray Park has a gate separating the two areas. However, this gate is continually left open by the manager, and upon request to close the gate, the city said it fit their needs to take the gate down. This poses a safety threat to children who cannot swim and are playing in the Spray Park. The goal of this petition is a policy to keep the gate shut. We do not want the lifeguards saddled with watching out for toddlers darting to the pool. We want to watch our own children, and a closed gate will help us and the park keep small children safe.
