Too many dogs are kept outside and neglected in dangerous temperatures. Just like humans, animals are not equipped to safely  handle below freezing temperatures or extreme heat. Even with a dog house or shelter, these animals are still suffering. They feel pain and suffer the same symptoms as humans do!! Being a part of a family owned rescue, we have seen the devastating and extremely cruel conditions these animals are forced to endure. It’s pure cruelty and inhuman. So many states and cites have put laws in place that don’t allow animals to kept outside for an extended amount of time in these extreme conditions, let’s do the same for Charlotte, NC or even better, let’s make it a state wide law. There should be fines put in place and in some cases jail time applied to those that fail to abide by these laws.
