STOP New Parking Regulations on Hertel Ave.
This petition made change with 881 supporters!
We the undersigned wish to register the strongest possible objection to the new City of Buffalo parking regulations for the Hertel Ave. Business District, set to go into effect as early as September 2016. These regulations will have a negative impact on Hertel Ave. businesses and their patrons, as well as the residents who live on and nearby the Hertel Ave. Business District.
Limiting potential customers and residents to one two-hour parking session after 5:00 p.m. and requiring them to pay for parking until 9:00 p.m. will deter people from patronizing Hertel Ave. businesses and will likely increase already strained parking for residents on Hertel Ave. and its accompanying sides streets.
We need to enhance accessibility for people to visit the Hertel Ave. businesses, while acknowledging the parking needs of residents. We respectfully request that the City of Buffalo withdraw these new regulations, preserve accessibility of the Hertel Ave. businesses, and permit community input before any changes are made to parking regulations.
