I believe it's important to honor those who give so much to their community. Johnny has always been a pillar in East Boston by dedicating his time to teaching multiple generations of kids the fundamentals of both baseball and basketball. His efforts need to be recognized. I can't imagine a better way than to honor the man than to rename the park after him.
