HOMELESS CAMPING ORDINANCE UPDATE:

Due to the overwhelming response from so many of you, we are moving forward with our effort to reinstate the homeless camping ban by ballot initiative.

To get on the ballot, we need to collect 20,000 hard signatures of Austin residents.

Our best opportunity to do this is on Election Day -- this coming Tuesday, during the Constitutional amendment election.

We need to raise $10,000 today to hire a lawyer to draft the ballot language, so we can get it back by Friday and begin hiring workers for the polls on Tuesday.
