** UPDATE: Rodeo Austin has canceled

The livestock industry took a hard hit straight to the heart yesterday. Thousands of families and exhibitors were blindsided by the closing of the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. As one of the last standing major options for these exhibitors to show off their hard work and projects, we urge Rodeo Austin to remain open and continue the livestock show. 

While the recent outbreak from COVID-19 should be taken seriously, the public risk is low for Austin as of this moment with no current cases in the area. In addition to, Rodeo Austin has already expressed precautionary measures to the public for those planning to attend the show. In the event of further development of the COVID-19 virus in the area, we want to recommend that only the public be kept from this event, while the exhibitors, essential staff, and family are still allowed to continue on.
