The Loudermilk Company is seeking approval to begin finishing out space for the discount retailer, Dollar General - DGX. The permits have been filed but no lease has been signed yet.

According to sources, the DGX concept provides a selection of immediate consumption goods and consumable items within a more compact version of the typical Dollar General store. The block around the proposed DGX already has businesses that provide the same products that the DGX chain would offer within a 300 ft radius (Quick Trip, Ace Hardware, CVS).

Neighborhoods that contain a business ecosystem that is too unvaried run counter to creating a healthy, thriving community. One of the critical ingredients to a strong, functional and engaging neighborhood is having a set of businesses that have an assorted range of purposes, products and services.
