Yohn Voker started this petition to CITY OF ATLANTA and

Herndon Stadium, named after Alonzo Herndon, is a 15,011 seat stadium on the campus of Morris Brown College in Atlanta. It is one block over from the locally known Herndon Home and sits above the MARTA  East-West rail line.

Herndon Stadium was one of the venues of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, hosted field hockey. It was also used for the demolished Fairfield Stadium during filming of the 2006 movie "We Are Marshall".

The stadium was also the former home of the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA from 2002-2003.

Due to the college's financial hardships, the stadium has been abandoned and fell into a state of disrepair, gutted by vandals and covered in graffiti and trash.

AND THAT'S WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

We need someone who could buy this stadium and have a major renovation, along with clean up in the area. It would cost millions of dollars to help renovate this stadium.

If you sign this petition now, I hope someone, even the City of Atlanta, would pay attention to help renovating the stadium, so it would be brand new all over again.

Hopefully in the future, once Herndon Stadium finished renovated, it will be the home of ATLUTD 2, Rugby ATL, and a future NWSL team.

LET'S RENOVATE HERNDON STADIUM!!!
