We, Arlington Residents, are demanding the new development in Downtown Arlington be no more than 3 stories tall, with residential-mixed-use tailored for young professionals instead of the boxy 5-over-1 development requested on the Nehemiah, LLC Resolution. This request to the city and developer fits in accordance with the downtown master plan.

This is a response to the Chapter 380 approval of the Downtown Arlington Land grant for over $1,600,000 paid for by City of Arlington on behalf of developer Nehemiah, LLC to acquire lots on both corners of Front and Oak st, with the option to assume city tracts expanding north Front St. to West St., and potentially south Front St. city properties expanding West St. to Center St.

This petition believes Citizens of Arlington do not want any more 5-over-1 residential mixed use Apartments in downtown and that preserving the lost history of our city in the original 100 acre Solomon Davis Land Survey, is a worthy cause.

Citizens of Arlington, please tell the city of Arlington and Nehemiah, LLC what we want our city to look like instead of allowing developers to continue building 5-over-1 apartment developments, creating apartment canyons!

The land is a gift from our city, so the developer should accommodate the citizens requests! We have enough tall downtown apartment developments.
