The City of Abilene has placed a prohibited dog ban on pitbulls, bully breeds, and Staffordshires. This law needs to be lifted or changed because any breed of dog can be aggressive or have aggressive behaviors. I think this law should be lifted or at very least be changed. An alternative to this law, a testing process should be a law in affect that EVERY  aggressive dog, not breed of dog, but dog should have to go through this test and if they pass or fail will determine whether or not that dog can stay or has to leave city limits. This test should involve a numerous amount of things testing their personality, behavior in certain situations, aggressiveness, etc. A dog is a part of  a family, they are like kids, I don't think it is fair that just because your dog is a certain breed it can't be in city limits. That is like banning a certain race from being in Abilene.  Any dog can be raised to be mean, it is all how the owners treat and raise them. By lifting this law I think it will open people's eyes that these breeds are not dangerous, it's the owners that train them to be.
