I am starting this petition to get FISH BOWL AQUARIUM in WARWICK RI SHUT DOWN THE OWNERS HAVE TWO LOCATIONS, THE 2ND ONE IS IN FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS. I have documented proof of the atrocities this place has to offer. Hundreds of people have sent me messages, videos, photos of their dogs or animals who have DIED only weeks after adopting their pets. I don’t know where to begin. I recently went into FISH BOWL AQUARIUM PET and was disgusted at not only the conditions of this so called “pet shop” but at how the animals are treated as well. Let’s start off with the fact that in 2019 Rhode Island banned the sale of dogs & cats not acquired from a ANIMAL SHELTER, POUNDS, RESCUES/REHABILITATIONS. This is literally a pet shop, they call themselves a pet shop and aquarium. I went in to look at clown fish and the first thing I saw was a baby beagle. I immediately started crying because I could just tell what this place was.

   The little pup came from a PUPPY FARM and if you don’t know what puppy farms are they’re commercial facilities that quickly breed dogs in terrible disgusting conditions which often times leads to the animal getting extremely sick or literally dying. If you read the reviews on this “pet shop” there are plenty of people who have gotten pets from this place and they’ve literally died within a week. Now that I have started traction with this more and more people have been coming out, the owner is deleting comments and reviews from real customers left and right. I could hear other puppies in the back crying and I was told that they’re just “sick” and that they need to be kept from the beagle in the front because if one dog were to vomit and a healthy one were to eat it’s vomit it would get sick. Moral of the story is this place needs to get shut down. My biggest worry at first  was the beagle who’s being sold for a ridiculous $1800, i started a GOFUND me in hopes of getting him out of there and getting enough attention to bring awareness to this business. I was also told by an employee that the puppy is only taken out of his cage when it’s time for them to clean his extremely small cage which to me looked like it hadn’t been clean all day. There was pee and poop on the bottom of the cage and he was just sitting there. He smelled extremely bad I could only image when his last bath was, I asked to play with him and I’ve never seen a dog that hyper and excited to play with a human before.

   Since then I’ve gotten multiple videos and photos of the conditions the puppies are kept in, their cages full of poop and pee no water or food, they sleep on the metal bars beneath them. That’s how you treat a small animal? I honestly couldn’t stop crying because how can a puppy not even 3 months old live his life in a dirty cage with no WATER OR FOOD just sitting in his own feces, the poor pup doesn’t even have a BED!!!! He has a smelly, old tiny hamburger toy and that’s about it. SERIOUSLY THOUGH I DONT EVEN THINK THEY WALK THEIR DOGS. LETS NOT MENTION THE POORLY KEPT FISHTANKS, NO WATER IN THE RATS CAGES, ANIMALS LOOKED TERRIFIED. THEY HAVE FLOATING DEAD FISH AT THE TOP OF THEIR FISH TANKS. The reason I’m making this petition is because since posting all my findings and proof from numerous people I’ve created a support group, a large group of people who stand behind me and have personal experience with this horribly kept facility. I wasn’t able to see the “sick” dogs in the back but I’m sure they’re in even worse conditions. Two things that stuck with me the most while being there was 1. The man who stood bedside me looking at the pup then whispering to his wife “Jesus this is worse than prison” and 2. The puppy’s face when he saw me leaving. Im doing this because I want to make a difference and I needed to get the beagle out of there, now I just want to bring awareness to this BUSINESS!!! If you could please help by not only signing this petition and sharing it, but also REPORTING this facility to animal control, any shelter even the police, because it’s illegal and morally wrong to have this place running the way it is. Plenty of people got in contact with the police already and brought inspectors and the store said they were fine and had the right licenses. BS because a woman who bought a dog last weekend HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL WITH HIM SINCE SHE GOT HIM!!!! THEY DONT THINK HE WILL MAKE IT. This place will continue to buy puppy mill puppy’s and sell them at steep prices unless we stop them.
