Each time I see the, "City of Montgomery Great Seal" the words right in front of my face displayed proudly and bold, takes me back to my parents, and grandparents accounts of terror, and the lives of many blacks, that were called negro, and deplorable animals of slavery!

I want my grandchildren to continue growing up in a City that welcomes a new beginning to move forward and not a display as this that says, we embrace the history of hate, murder, rape, slavery, oppression, and suppression! 

There has been attempts to change it, and still it remained unchanged, but just adjusted to continue cradling many! 

Montgomery Alabama today deserve better than to display that we cradle and embrace such a display! We are a diverse, State and City and want to move forward to display how far we have come, and how we look forward to a change for a better Montgomery! 

We have made history in Montgomery, Alabama electing our first Black American Mayor, let's continue making history by removing the, "Cradle of Confederacy" from our, " City of Montgomery Great Seal
