Thanks to your efforts, the city of Alexandria received more than 200 comments on its proposed “restoration” of Taylor Run, and has agreed to meet our scientific expert John Field with us to review the city’s stream restoration plan on November 7.

But first, we need to raise another $3,000 so we can pay Dr. Field for his travel here and for his time so he can discuss the project with Alexandria City staff. 

The city is using your tax dollars to pay for high-priced consultants, while we have to pay out of our own pockets to hire independent experts for a balanced assessment of the project. We have no choice if we want to keep the bulldozers out of Chinquapin Park and protect its fragile ecosystem.

We have little more than a week to raise that money. Can you please help us so we can together save Taylor Run?
