We need to defund and demilitarize the police of San Antonio. We don’t need excessive force used against the youth protesting police brutality, the racial injustice of the lives lost of black and brown bodies. Why should SAPD have more funding than the residents who have no, or poor quality of housing, health care and food distribution. 

According to www.sanantonio.gov SAPD gets a massive city budget fund of $479 million. Nearly half a billion dollars! Meanwhile, housing is at 12 million and Health at 15 million dollars. The goal is for the city of San Antonio to be accountable and to put MORE funding in our communities.

We need City Council to listen to the voices of the disenfranchised. We demand they invest more funds in our communities and programs that benefit the livelihood of our people.
