The current development has left the ecosystems in peril. The limu is gone, the fish have less food to eat therefore, they are starving. The water is polluted from runoff. Not only are the ecosystems shot but we as the people need this beach to remain open for this is our direct ties to the land and sea. My family as like many others have been laid to rest in the ocean and in the Ewa karst. If this is taken away from me I lose access to visit my grandfather on a daily basis. He was my foundation and this will take him away from me. What more will come of the land when there is nothing left but hotels and golf courses? This is not just for the sake of the Hawaiian people and our land, it is for the sake of humanity and for the sake of future generations.
