It turns out the permit fee is $400, not $450. Not too big of a difference, but they were helpful by giving us the current breakdown of costs: "The cost to apply for one is $350. There is also a Public Notice Sign and Sign Deposit Fee required at the time of application that is $150. When the Public Notice Sign is returned to the CBJ after the public hearing, $100 of the fee is returned to the applicant. The initial cost to apply is $500 ($350 for the permit application, $150 for the sign & sign deposit), but the overall cost after the sign refund is $400. I believe your petition states $450 so I just wanted to clarify this."
