STOP THE SENSELESS KILLING OF OUR ANIMALS!

Citrus County residents are you fed up with the senseless killing of our animals, on Friday, October 2, 2015 2 dogs were put down because someone made a mistake and they got into a fight.  You can take the best dogs in the world and put them into a shelter environment and they will be upset and high strung. Was any consideration given to this? NO!  The comment “over heard” was “PUT THEM DOWN” no questions asked.  Is that okay? NO!  We need to become a "NO KILL SHELTER" How do we do this?

All we are asking the BOCC to do is institute a mandatory microchip program so lost animals are returned home instead of going to the shelter, extend the hours of the shelter and to consider replacing ineffective leaders at our shelter.
