Citrus County Commissioners want to hear from YOU! The CC Animal shelter is old, outdated, too small, inefficient and is not able to meet the current needs of the animals it houses. There is no sterile operating room for the surgeries. There is no recovery area for the animals. The current shelter is not centrally located in the county. The current shelter location and condition doe NOT benefit the animals nor the citizens of Citrus County. By signing this petition you are asking the Citrus County Board Of County Commissioners to build a NEW County ANIMAL SHELTER. You are acknowledging that you are in FAVOR and WILL SUPPORT their VOTE to move forward to build a NEW CC Animal Shelter. At this time there is no exact cost to build figures on record. The county is in the discovery phase. Part of that phase is learning what the PUBLIC WANTS, therefore, we will present them with this petition to show our support. There will be different financial options presented to the county. By signing this petition you are saying you are OPEN to the possibility that "IF" building a New Shelter does requires a SMALL SHORT-TIME tax increase that you would agree with that. There will be a BOCC Public work shop on 4/21/15 at the Citrus County Courthouse 110 N. Apopka, Inverness, Fl 34450.
