As the husband of a felon,I felt compelled to start this petition. The Justice System in our country seems to think it's ok to persecute our citizens years after they have spent time behind bars to pay for their crimes. There should be a 5 year time limit where if a non-violent felon hasn't committed any other offenses, his or her record should be expunged with the understanding that the full extent of the law will be instituted if broken. Prison time plus five years should be enough time for anyone to suffer for a mistake. 90% have changed but aren't given a chance to prove it. These people have families to raise and they are gonna do just that. It's up to the law! Do they do it as upstanding citizens with a future to look forward to or as thugs out there on our streets with no hope of getting back into society.Committing crimes,selling drugs,as a means of surviving.Most of these people got these felonies as teens or young adults.Now with families to support they deserve their lives back.We are trying to get 1 million signatures for our legislators.To expunge the 50% of felonies that were gotten simply because these people were too poor to afford an attorney.Or their felony should have been a class A misdemeanor.If you had a felony and couldn't get more than a minimum wage job,how would you support your children.This petition isn't about the felons it's about the millions of innocent children who are robbed of their lives by their parents mistakes,lack of understanding,stupid dares,traffic accident,animal cruelty,non-payment of child support,however they got these felonies they shouldn't have to suffer the rest of their lives,and be persecuted any longer ,after prison time and 5 years of good behavior on the streets.Allow them to regain their lives and provide a better life for their children. So Please help these citizens have a better chance to gain viable employment. Currently so many do not have a chance of being hired for any position. Many are forced to accept minimum wage jobs or lessor pay than their counterparts.and some of these felonies are as old as 20 years,and this is a cruel and unjust way to treat an American citizen.

Join Mercy Alone Ministries on this petition,we must unite to get the felony laws revamped so the some 5,000,000 citizens in this country can become productive again.We plan to offer a volunteer child care service,parents can pay for child care by volunteering their free time helping at the child care center.We are working to secure two houses for these purposes,also offer a parent time out where a parent under stress can leave their children to have some time for themselves.A home for children of mothers entering prison for 2 years and under,A home for newly released men and women who have no other place to go,a coed facility with strict rules of conduct.Transportation for the elderly,and inexpensive auto maintenance,the main cause of most lost jobs,Our CEO is a Master Auto tech with 40 years experience,who will gladly teach anyone willing to learn at no cost.We are working to purchase these facilities now ,Please pray for our efforts.
