With the passing of the legendary "Queen of Soul", Aretha Franklin, her fans would love to honor her life, music, and work as civil rights activist with a commemoratory stamp. We need to compel the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee that Aretha Franklin's contributions in music and as a civil rights activist is worthy of this honor. Beginning in 2018, proposals for a deceased individual will be considered three years following his/her death. We are asking for support now so that when this eligibility criterion is meet the committee will be able to act as quickly as possible.
