Make Finger guns a socially accepted form of formal greeting.

The Issue

Finger Guns have always been seen as an informal, and immature greeting for many formal, and polite social situations in the United States. We are looking to change this perception. Finger Guns are a non-invasive, non-offensive, and sanitary way of greeting people as close as a family member, to a minor acquaintance. This gesture should be extended to that of a formal greeting as well. We believe that Finger Guns should be made an acceptable gesture when greeting employers, interviewers, and all other forms of polite company, making Finger Guns a universal gesture that can be safely used to greet anyone of all social standings, making meeting new people less stressful, and starting conversations easier. It has already been accepted as a form of greeting, but it is yet to make its way past the barrier of strict social etiquette. If we find success in this campaign, we are also looking to expand this greeting to other countries, as it is not seen as an offensive gesture in a majority of the world.
