New Bern Alderman want to sell part of Union Point Park to build a luxury hotel. They want to take away from the beauty of the riverfront view. 
Union Point Park has become a big staple of the community. Everyone goes to Union Point to relax and be with friends and family. So many activities take place at the park. The Gazebo is here for weddings, pictures, and to sit and relax. 
People come out to Union Point when we have festivities like Mumfest, the raft race, the flotilla, Halloween activities, and so many others.

So let’s stand up and let the Alderman know we want to keep Union Point Park the way it is. We as the community want to keep the beauty and views for us and the tourist that come see our little historical town.
