The Issue

We, the undersigned residents, homeowners, and local stakeholders of Miami Lakes formally object to GMX Project No. 92408, which proposes a new partial interchange and ramp system at SR 924/Gratigny Parkway and NW 67th Avenue/Ludlam Road.

This project threatens our community for the following critical reasons:

School-Zone Safety: The construction and increased cut-through traffic put children, parents, and crossing guards at extreme risk, with multiple schools located within a quarter-mile of the proposed ramps.

Severe Redundancy: Adequate expressway access already exists nearby at NW 57th Avenue and NW 138th Street, rendering this multi-million dollar project an unnecessary disruption.

Quality of Life Impacts: Local residents will experience magnified traffic congestion, persistent noise, intense lighting pollution, and diminished property values.

Environmental and Canal Disruption: Realignment of the Graham Dairy Canal and local wetland disruptions threaten local wildlife and infrastructure.

We urge GMX, the Town of Miami Lakes, and county decision-makers to immediately halt and deny Project 92408.
