Fix the liability on rampant bus operators and booking sites.
The Issue
Recently I had planned Diwali vacation. My journey was planned on Nov 5 Pune to Vadodara.
(Bus operator Eagle Falcon, booking partner redBus).
On day of travelling bus got cancelled and our entire trip had to be cancelled. I have return ticket which if I cancel will charge me cancellation fee. (Courtesy: RedBus).
When contacted RedBus, they were unaware of bus cancellation. Redbus did not provide alternative booking neither the Bus operator. Redbus was unaware of bus cancellation (upto 4pm, whereas schedule travel was at 11pm).
They just wash off there hands by way of refund amount.
Hereby I request all travellers who might have suffered and experienced such rampant behaviour, exorbitant charges during festival season, and cancellation without any CREDIBILITY and liability be it bus operator or be it booking provider. They both are equally party to this type of unprofessionalism.
I request all citizens to come forward, raise the voice to fix the compensation, liabilities to affected passengers.
I am sure this small step can make a big difference ...
What we want...
1. Alternate similar class, comfort level arrangement
2. Full refund with compensation to affected regardless of reason of cancellation
3. Traveller must be provided all support to book alternate option by booking site.
Operator And booking partner must realise "Why customer is king". Please come forward for this tiny but noble cause.
Note: an escalation email written to management email id. Till Nov 9, 2.54pm, it remained unanswered.
