There are no casual bars to have a drink in Huntsville. There’s a plethora of antique shops that get little foot traffic. While Huntsville is a historical town it is also a college town. We need to change with the times. College students make up so much of the population but there is little to nothing to do for young adults. We are petitioning to stop adding antique shops and museums in the square and open more bars. We want to move the antique shops to the empty mall in town and put bars in the square. The fact that we only have 3 bars is insane for the amount of students we have. The town should be more college student friendly with more a nightlife. Other universities similar in size have more nightlife options than we do. The university is growing and Huntsville needs to grow with it. Sign this petition if you agree and want to see change.
