There are a few individuals in every community that find music at any level unreasonable. On the other side of the fence you have thousands of taxpaying citizens that enjoy live and recorded music at their favorite restaurant or night spot. Unfortunately the law , the way it reads in Galveston, is a little unclear. It states that if a reasonable person finds the sound unreasonable then it is to stop. So you can see where this poses a problem. One person in one thousand can stop a business or individual from playing music because they find it too loud. Police only recourse is to address the sound problem , whether it is a problem or not. Let's show the law makers here in Galveston how many reasonable voters we have and how we will not allow a few to ruin the sweet summer days spent on the decks of homes and businesses sipping margaritas and listening to a little Jimmy Buffet.
