To raise the fine for texting and driving because we do not believe that paying $30 for your first offense and then paying $60 for your second offense is appropriate. The first fine should be $300 and the second offense $500. A reason this issue means a lot to our group because I was in an accident when the other party was texting while driving, and my family ended up with bad injuries and loss of work.
