It is time that the people of Ontario demand and receive the resignation of Premier Kathleen Wynne. Under her leadership, the province had its credit rating down-graded. She pays the CEO of the province's Hydro One corporation 8 times the national average and wishes to sell it against the wishes of the people who own it - the people of Ontario. She will cripple small business with the ORPP - a tax that will not only place a burden on an already overburdened small business run economy, but on those who make minimum wage. Now, she has lied further and plans on DOUBLING the Land Transfer Tax by allowing Municipalities to charge as Toronto does. A decision like this could cripple the housing market, making it not only unstable, but causing the loss of tens of thousands of home sales as this extra tax will contribute to the unaffordable and rising cost of a home. The Middle Class can no longer sustain more tax hikes. The poorest of our Province cannot be bled for more tax money. The Rich can shelter their income. That leaves the Middle-Class to shoulder an already unbearable tax burden. She is squandering our hard-earned money in an economy where more PART-TIME jobs have been created than full-time jobs. The people of this province are handing over their children to be raised in institutions such as our schools in order to be able to go to work to earn money to put food on the table and keep a warm roof over their family's heads in the cold Canadian climate. There are a growing number of children who are fed from food banks, cannot see a family doctor and if an injury happens, they are forced to wait up to 24 hours in an E.R. department. Our schools are woefully underfunded - children learning from text books that are taped together or worse, are out of date by as much as 10 years. The province could pay far much less for access to up-to-date text books that are available on-line. The current elementary Math text-books, Math Makes Sense, are available on-line. The Province has cut funding to necessary, basic services such as Education, Health Care and Housing to the point that people are beginning to suffer. They've cut funding to hire enough Doctors and Registered nurses to the point that these people are so overworked that people are receiving prescriptions instead of care. There are too many favours under a Wynne government. No one wins when government is THIS corrupt. We must ask, no, we must DEMAND that Premier Wynne resign her position and an election called. It is time we STOP spending the tax dollars we work so hard to pay on favours, high CEO salaries and scandals and demand a government that uses our tax dollars for OUR needs - Health Care, Education, Infastructure and debt reduction. No more corporate and political favours. We can't afford it any longer. By signing this petition, you are demanding a non-confidence vote. We MUST demand better representation.
